25.03. "Fascination with the brain - what's in our brain?" online lecture

"Fascination Brain!" is an online lecture series on neurobiology offered by the University of Luxembourg / Omniversité, the Luxembourg Center for Systems Biomedicine, the DESCOM department and GoldenMe.

In this series of lectures, scientists from the LCSB present various topics - from the basic structure of DNA to diseases such as Parkinson's.

Interested parties can learn new things during this one-hour lecture, immerse themselves in various topics of nuerobiology and learn more about the scientists and their research topics!

The lectures are multilingual, free of charge and especially suitable for people without prior knowledge.

About the lecture:

Which cells make up our brain? There is much more than just nerve cells! Here you will find out which cells are necessary for our thinking and how different nerve cells differ from one another. This can create areas in the brain that specialize in certain tasks.

About the speaker:

Melanie Sengupta is doing her PhD in neurobiology at the LCSB of the University of Luxembourg. For her doctoral thesis, she is trying to grow cells from Alzheimer's disease into nerve cells.
